Christmas with Anna

Anna's Preschool class had a parent and me holiday party. When Iarrived Anna had a red star on her nose and reindeer Antlers. We made jingle bracelets and our own antlers and the kids same some songs for us. After that we all sat in a circle and the teacher read aloud all the things that the children thought that their parents would like to find beneath the Christmas tree. It was a good laugh. You can read Anna's below.

Anna's preschool does the cutest Christmas program, so we all got dressed up and went to watch Anna's debut. Each class recited poems and sang Christmas songs. Then they all got a chance to have the Mic and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Anna spent most of her time watching how her new Christmas dress billowed out when she moved. She wore the dress almost every single day of December by the way.

I sure am glad I made Anna wear her "cover-ups" because I didn;t see this one coming. Everyone got a good laugh though. If you can't hear her she says, "my name is Anna Olivia, Merry Cristmas."

The Nutcracker

Anna and I went with her Ballet class to The Nutcracker at the Everett performing arts center. Anna sat on my lap most of the time and loved the mouse king and the snowflakes the best.

Pictures with Santa at the Ward Christmas party. Liam asked for the Lego freight ship and Anna asked for a mermaid and a unicorn. Anna hugged him before sitting on his lap. so cute!

Thanks for Grandpa Bill and Grandma Chelle for taking Liam to the Holiday pops. He talked all the way home about the instruments and especially the bass drum and the bell. He was a little disapointed that The Carol of the Bells was montaged with other songs though. hehe. Thanks!

Let it snow!

The weather was awesome this year and snowed on the day we left for THanksgiving break. We stayed at Heather and Evans new house for a few days before the actual day and had a blast playing games, eating, watching movies, doing crafts and playing in the snow!
Here are the kids getting pumped to go out in the cold.

Just mowing the lawn in the snow, don't mind me.

Just riding a pony in the snow...
Evolution of a man: "I wander what would happen if I threw this cold wet stuff in my own face?"

"I wander what would happen if I shoved this cold wet stuff onto another person's face?"

swings still work when it's snowing, right?

THe older boys test the ice on the stream and scare me half to death.

Merrick is getting a little refreshment

Orion is miffed

When the kids were tuckered out they had some hot chocolate and snuggled up for a Christmas movie. Thanks Heather and Evan for making the holiday so fun!

Thanksgiving Day

Erics Grandpa Mackay joined us from Utah for the Holiday this year. We started the day off with Anna and Grandpa watching the Maceys Day Parade together.
After a dip in the Jacuzzi, Liam spent most of his time playing a wooden baseball game,

and snacking on pre-thanksgiving snacks.
Eric and his Dad do the honors with the turkey

Michelle did all the cooking while I entertained the kids

Eric made a nice cheese and meat platter

We played scrabble with the missionairies who joined us for dinner.
After a most delicious dinner and Bill explaining Nephi's travels to the missionairies, Michelle got us in the moode for the holidays by singing Christmas Carols.

This is for you Mom. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Decorating is done!

We turned on CHristmas music and decorated the tree last Sunday. The kids were cute and we had so much fun.

Christmas wonderland

Every year when we get out the holiday decor Liam gets busy making Christmas Wonderland. Dvd's make mountains and cookie cooling racks make bridges for the train to make it to the North pole. He lays there for hours and sings made up songs about his wonderland. I love it!

Big girl

Anna is pretty convinced that she is a grown up and has insisted on dressing herself for the last year or so. Eric and I get a good laugh every morning when Anna comes down the stairs. Her outfits are so hap hazzard and hilarious but she is convinced they are the cutest thing anyone has ever put together.
